A 21-12 months-old New Orleans university university student was pronounced deceased soon after she was dropped off at a clinic on Saturday morning following a evening out with buddies that reportedly ended with her contacting an Uber.
Ciaya Jordan Whetstone was transported to the medical center soon just before 7:00 a.m. by “personal conveyance,” in accordance to law enforcement, which usually means she was not taken in an ambulance.
Emergency clinical staff pronounced her deceased quickly after she arrived.
Good friends wrote on Fb and informed the New Orleans Advocate that Whetstone had referred to as an Uber in the early several hours of Saturday morning after the night time out.

It can be unclear if it was an Uber driver that dropped her off at the clinic, but the firm explained it released an investigation and deactivated the account of the driver who picked her up.
“Our thoughts are with Ciaya Whetstone’s loved ones as they grieve the decline of their daughter,” a spokesperson for Uber explained to WHD News Electronic. “We stand all set to support legislation enforcement with their investigation.”

An additional mate, Roberto Torres, informed the New Orleans Advocate that he known as Whetstone around 1:30 a.m. immediately after she checked on her canine and received back again into the Uber, and overheard the driver question, “Do you like to celebration?”
A spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Section stated they are investigating it as an “unclassified death.”
Whetstone’s stepfather, Chris Ferrand, claimed that he is waiting around for the coroner to ascertain her cause of demise and for law enforcement to investigate ahead of commenting.
