Pompeo claims he is ‘rooting’ for the Biden administration, even with ‘very distinctive worldview’

Former Secretary of Point out Mike Pompeo advised WHD News on Friday that Secretary of Condition Antony Blinken has consulted with him, and when the two have “extremely distinctive worldview,” they have a “shared need” to make the United States “robust and wonderful.”

During an job interview with WHD News on the sidelines of the Conservative Political Motion Conference (CPAC) Friday, Pompeo criticized the Biden administration’s international plan approach but reported he is only hoping for their accomplishment.


“I am rooting for the Biden administration to be productive — in spite of my critique and my monumental issues about the insurance policies that they’ve picked out,” Pompeo informed WHD News. “I want them to be productive.”

Pompeo informed WHD News that “at any time” anyone from the Biden administration phone calls, he is “delighted” to talk with them.

“Any time an individual from the administration calls and asks, I’m joyful to discuss to them and give them my views and my thoughts — in some cases a little piece of background, some thing that I experienced labored on that they could not have recognized about — and I did the exact point,” Pompeo discussed. “I termed on my predecessors, regardless of their party, to inquire about the factors that they had worked on and what had worked and what had not.” 

Pompeo instructed WHD News that he has spoken with Blinken and said that the coordination between the Trump administration and the Biden administration is “happening at extra junior concentrations as effectively.”

“Look, we have very distinct worldviews and disagreements operate deep about how to execute coverage,” Pompeo explained. “But the shared desire to make our nation robust and wonderful is one thing that I will get the job done on with all.”

When requested to elaborate on the variances in between his technique in comparison to Blinken’s, Pompeo pointed to the Trump administration’s Middle East plan and the setting up of the Abraham Accords — the “historic peace agreement” amongst Israel and the United Arab Emirates that normalized relations and established bilateral agreements relating to investment decision, tourism, direct flights, security, telecommunications, technological innovation, electrical power, health treatment, society, and other locations of mutual gain.

“They’re striving to slash a deal with Iran — we acknowledge Israel’s suitable to have their money in which they want it to,” Pompeo said. “They are making an attempt to produce a consulate again in Jerusalem, people are just, different judgments.”

But “the most significant big difference,” Pompeo explained, “is that the Trump administration was “fearless about preserving The us all over the place in the planet.”

“We wanted spiritual independence to be one of the points that we worked on deeply — they’ve chosen to lead with local climate adjust,” Pompeo said. “Secretary [John] Kerry was the first senior American leader to satisfy with Xi Jinping. “When you place weather change at the prime of your agenda, when the dialogue just isn’t about electricity but about carbon footprint, the planet thinks of you in a deeply diverse way,” Pompeo mentioned. “And I, regrettably, feel that that alter in priorities and a deficiency of concentration on ‘America First’ has driven Vladimir Putin to think that he experienced this possibility” in Ukraine.
