Stefanik asks Twitter to report Biden for ‘disinformation’ in previous Putin tweet

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., requested Twitter to label a past President Biden tweet about his toughness on Russian President Vladimir Putin as “disinformation” amid the escalating Russia-Ukraine disaster. 

Stefanik, the chair of the Residence GOP meeting, mocked a earlier tweet from Biden two decades ago exactly where then-prospect Biden stated: “Vladimir Putin doesn’t want me to be President. But Stefanik and fellow Republicans have implied that Putin is emboldened to invade Ukraine because Biden is the president. 

“Regrettably, President Biden consistently chose appeasement and his hard communicate on Russia was never adopted by robust action,” Stefanik claimed in a joint assertion Tuesday with Property GOP leadership. “Deadly help was sluggish-walked, anti-air and anti-ship abilities ended up under no circumstances straight provided, pre-invasion sanctions proportionate to the aggression Putin experienced previously committed were being never imposed, and sanctions on Nord Stream 2 have been waived.”

“The U.S. and our allies need to now make the Putin routine pay back for this aggression,” the Home GOP leaders said. 

Biden Tuesday claimed the United States is working with NATO allies and partners to employ sanctions, indicating they have been “carefully coordinated” and will “carry on to escalate” if Russia “escalates.”
