Taiwan warns Chinese aircraft traveling in air defense zone working day of Russia-Ukraine invasion

Taiwan scrambled its air force Thursday as nine Chinese plane have entered the island nation’s air defense zone, the Taiwan Ministry of Protection announced. 

A modest fleet of eight J-16 fighters and a Yun-8 technical reconnaissance plane breached the air place. The Taiwanese aircrafts broadcast a warning and monitored the Chinese fleet’s actions.

Chinese Protection Ministry spokesman Tan Kefei pressured that Taiwan was a “core issue” for China and it would tolerate no foreign interference.

“We urge the U.S. side to acknowledge the superior sensitivity of the Taiwan difficulty, stop interfering in China’s inner affairs and prevent taking part in with fireplace on the Taiwan challenge,” Tan said, according to Reuters.
