Mom of slain California law enforcement officer blames LA County DA George Gascon: ‘He has insane ideas’

The mom of a slain Los Angeles police officer is positioning blame for her son’s death at the feet of Los Angeles County District Lawyer George Gascon and his insurance policies that she says allowed her son’s killer to be out on the streets alternatively than in jail. 

“Gascon is just allowing all these criminals out and they just retain carrying out a single criminal offense right after the other,” Olga Garcia, the mother of slain El Monte Law enforcement Officer Joseph Anthony Santana, explained. “That person really should have been in jail. Flores, a gang member who was shot and killed by police, was on probation for a weapons demand just after he gained a lenient sentence as a result of a plea offer. Sources in the district attorney’s business office instructed WHD News that Flores would have possible been handed a sentence of up to a few many years in prison if he was prosecuted in February 2021.

Gascon’s place of work informed WHD News that Flores didn’t have a “documented record of violence” when he was sentenced.
