Ukraine nuclear authority provides update on Zaporizhzhia electrical power plant: now in Russian fingers

Russian forces opened fire at the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, the Zaporizhzhia plant in the city of Enerhodar, early Friday early morning, beginning a fire and sparking considerations of a nuclear disaster on the degree of Chernobyl.

“ZNPP electricity units continue being intact, unit 1 reactor compartment auxiliary buildings have been destroyed, which does not influence the safety of the device,” the agency claimed. “The units and elements essential to the protection of the NPP are operational.”

“At present, no adjustments in the radiation problem have been registered,” the agency additional. Disaster companies are investigating the condition.
